POWER, RITUAL, AND A RING

Power in Ritual

Every morning and every night, we all have little rituals. The way we brush our teeth, prepare our coffee, slip into bed, or get ready for a night out. These small acts ground us, and remind us who we are. For me, jewelry is one of those rituals.

My Own Ritual

I can’t count the number of times I’ve turned the car around halfway down the street because I forgot to put on my Milagrosa Ring. That ring isn’t just an accessory to me—it’s part of my armor, my comfort, my daily rhythm. Sliding it on my finger is like saying: Okay, I’m ready for the day. I’m myself again.

Jewelry in Our Stories

It’s no wonder jewelry has always played such a powerful role in storytelling—on screen, in books, in history. Pieces of jewelry often define characters, shape identities, or even carry entire plots.

In Titanic, the Heart of the Ocean necklace ties together romance, memory, and loss. In Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Audrey Hepburn’s pearls and her ritual of gazing into Tiffany’s windows became one of the most iconic moments in film history.

And then there’s Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan. Her layers of jewelry—charms, bangles, crosses—were more than just costume. They were her character. That look became a cultural ritual of its own, inspiring women everywhere to adorn themselves not just to accessorize, but to declare who they were.

Rituals of Power and Presence

Jewelry has this uncanny ability to become part of us. It can calm us before a big meeting, empower us before stepping onto a stage, or remind us of love before a romantic evening. Sliding on a ring, clasping a necklace, fastening an earring—these are not just style choices. They are small acts of ritual, affirmations that we’re ready to step into whatever the day holds.

Stories from Our Collectors

I’m not the only one who feels this way. Over the years, our collectors have shared the most incredible stories of how their VSA pieces became part of their own rituals:

  • “Every time I wear my Magdalena necklace, something magical happens. I’ve landed jobs, met people who changed my life, and even found love while wearing it. It’s become my lucky charm.”

  • “I was in a terrible accident, and somehow my San Benito pendant was the only thing left unbroken. I truly believe it protected me.”

  • “When I put on my Sacred Heart earrings, I feel like I can face anything. They’ve become part of my ritual before every big presentation—I never go without them.”

These aren’t just accessories. They are talismans, protectors, and reminders of strength.

My Daily Practice

For me, my Milagrosa Ring is still the centerpiece. It has traveled with me through countless days, shows, designs, and moments. Sometimes it feels less like jewelry and more like a prayer I carry with me. And I think we all have pieces like that—whether it’s a Magdalena, a charm, or a ring. They aren’t just accessories. They are rituals woven into our lives.

Jewelry, at its best, isn’t just worn. It’s lived with. It becomes the quiet ritual that connects us to our power, our story, and ourselves.
